With profound gratitude and great humility, I accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.
Con queste parole Barack Obama ha accettato la candidatura alla presidenza degli Stati Uniti, il primo afro americano, scrivendo quindi un'altra pagina di storia di questo controverso paese.
America, we cannot turn back. Not with so much work to be done. Not with so many children to educate, and so many veterans to care for. Not with an economy to fix and cities to rebuild and farms to save. Not with so many families to protect and so many lives to mend. America, we cannot turn back. We cannot walk alone. At this moment, in this election, we must pledge once more to march into the future. Let us keep that promise – that American promise – and in the words of Scripture hold firmly, without wavering, to the hope that we confess.

RispondiEliminaIo di certo non simpatizzerò per il repubblicano cagnolino di Bush McCaine ma e anche vero che non è che lo conosca molto bene Obama, sì e vero che è il primo afroamericano della storia degli Stati Uniti d'America ha candidarsi alle presidenziali ma secondo me non bisogna subito montarsi tanto la testa, lui un mese fà durante una visita in Israele ha detto che Gerusalemme DEVE essere la capitale di Israele e dell'Ebraismo e sul popolo palestinese invece non ha detto alcunchè non ha fatto accenni alla Palestina limitandosi a stringere la mano a Olmert tutto sorridente..
Mah.. Cmq staremo a vedere come andranno le cose tra un mesetto..
Io ho un pò di dubbi su Obama anche se lo "preferirei" alla guerrafondaia Imperialista Hillary.
